We figured since we didn't send Christmas cards, Valentine's cards, or Easter cards we would set this blog up for us to share with you all the goings on in our lives. Let me catch you up...
December-Rob was laid off from AT&T. We were hoping for rehiring but now we see a much more clear future without AT&T for now.
January- I went back to work after the holidays, Rob was confirmed for receiving Unemployment, and he became a stay-at-home-dad keeping Mary Kate. We began praying again for the Lord to give us wisdom and guidance. Many blessings came our way from several different areas. Rob learned that the TWC (Texas Workforce Commission) would possibly pay for him to go to college. What an opportunity!!! Rob was ready for a change so he began doing all the mandatory paperwork-boy it was a lot and still continues to be!!
February-We were blessed with being able to go on a special marriage retreat to unwind and fall in love with each other again by a couple the Atens are friends with-what a beautiful weekend that was for Valentine's. We are so grateful! We will never forget their generosity. Thank you Sherman and Tammy! Check out their site at http://www.a10s.org/ God began providing for our every need (he always does but when you are new to a situation is seems brighter). It was sooo great to see the Dix's and the Manthei's as well!!
March- My mom came and visited and brightened our month with her presence. We enjoyed visiting with her. We continued working with the TWC to figure out what we needed to do to begin the process of them paying for Rob to return to school. Rob also began his first college class Psychology. He was very nervous but has done an awesome job! It was an online course so he only had to go to the college to take exams. He is now an official college student! Trinity Valley Community College is his starting point. My dad became ill and had to be hospitalized with pneumonia. To earn a little extra money I began working in the nursery at our church Fellowship in Forney on Monday and Tuesday evenings. We are still training under my sister-in-law, Lisa Trotter. Check out her site at http://www.trotterfitnesscamps.com/
April- Easter rolled in and so did God's blessings! We were continually praying for answers for our future. Meanwhile, many layoffs were taking place and Rob is still trying to get all the paperwork needed for TWC-this is a frustrating and time consuming task. Meanwhile, Rob is soaring high new to the college life-pulling a 104% on his first test-I am so proud!!! He is officially a study geek. My dad got better but now was told he needed to see a specialist. He was set up for a Endoscopy and Colonoscopy in May. My mother-in-law Carolyn lost her sister to cancer and my other mother-in-law broke her arm. My dad was in the hospital again for pneumonia a second time. Not a happy note for the end of April.:(
May- Hopefully this month will bring in joy! My dad had his two procedures and received good results. He actually was put back in the hospital just a couple of days ago for another round with pneumonia. He just got out 5-09-09. He seems to be doing well but they found fluid on his heart so they are awaiting test results and we will see from there. My father-in-law David had a heart attack last week. He is home now and doing well but still cautious of the situation. On a lighter note, Rob completed his finals and is now awaiting his final grades. We are expecting an A. I am so proud of him. He has accepted many more hats and has done a beautiful job with them all. He keeps the house beautiful, takes cares of Kate, studies hard, and still has time for me. What a wonderful blessing! Mary Kate is growing like a weed now 19 1/2 months old going on 16! She is into everything! She loves to say mommy toot guck! Even if is NOT mommy. Everything is "no" right now. She will say, "puppy, no" "mommy say no" "teeth bye-bye" (to brush her teeth), and "daddy say no mean no" among her many other giberish sayings she has---so cute! Rob is gearing up for 6 classes this summer at college. We are selling my car- so email if you are interested. If the plan goes accordingly Rob will continue college in the fall, spring, and summer through next year and stay home with Kate. Anya dog is still doing well. She and and MK are inseparable! Not sure if it's because they feel connected like sisters or b/c MK "accidentally" drops her food for a treat to Anya---either way she is at home here with us. We will keep you posted as to everything new going on but I think you are caught up! Unless I forgot something which is VERY likely!!!
We send our love to you everyday and through modern technology you can keep up with our hectic lives. Wishing you blessings from the Webb Family!
